Thank you for watching. Have a nice day! My channel: https://goo.gl/vCXdrM ABOUT: More than 130 pink Cadillacs from across the country have gathered in Detroit to line the road in front of the church where Aretha Franklin's funeral is being held on Friday morning. The touching gesture is pays homage to one of her most famous songs and a Detroit anthem. The cars are paying tribute to the Queen of Soul's hit song Freeway Of Love, a 1985 song that features chorus lyrics: 'We're going riding on the freeway of love.In a pink Cadillac.' The idea was that of Crisette Ellis, an independent national sales director for a cosmetic company. She said she was inspired after seeing police line up in their cars for fallen officers.'My husband said, 'Wouldn't it be awesome if we could have a sea of pink Cadillacs parked on Seven Mile Road to greet Ms.Aretha Franklin as she arrives?'' Ellis, who owns a luxurious pink Escalade, explained to NPR.Ellis began searching for others who might have had their own vehicle to spare for the sentimental procession.'They're coming from everywhere,' she added.'They are coming from as far as Texas; Omaha, Nebraska; Florida; North Carolina; Maryland.' The independent saleswoman shared that a few classic ones from the 1960s would be included in the motorcade.'Freeway of Love is like an anthem for us Detroiters,' he explained.'[It] starts off with a Motown beat, and that's the pulse of the city.' The song would grant Franklin her 12th Grammy Award, winning for Best Female R&B Vocal Performance. Its subsequent video features scenes of the Motor City, with the city's once booming motor industry prominently featured in it.After the funeral, Franklin will be entombed at Woodlawn Cemetery in Detroit, along with her father, Rev.C.L.Franklin; brother Cecil Franklin; sisters Carolyn Franklin and Erma Franklin; and nephew, Thomas Garrett.Woodlawn also is the final resting place for Parks and many of the Motor City's musical elite, including members of the Four Tops.Franklin passed away August 16 at 9.50am surrounded by family and friends at her home in Detroit following a battle with advanced pancreatic cancer.'In one of the darkest moments of our lives, we are not able to find the appropriate words to express the pain in our heart. We have lost the matriarch and rock of our family,' a statement from her family read.'We have been deeply touched by the incredible outpouring of love and support we have received from close friends, supporters and fans all around the world.Thank you for your compassion and prayers.'We have felt your love for Aretha and it brings us comfort to know that her legacy will live on.As we grieve, we ask that you respect our privacy during this difficult time.' Franklin, who sang with matchless style on such classics as 'Think,' 'I Say a Little Prayer' and her signature song, 'Respect', announced her retirement from touring last year. The mother-of-four had battled various undisclosed health issues in recent years. Her last

Martina Navratilova criticizes Serena Williams over US Open final

07:40
Thank you for watching. Have a nice day! My channel: https://goo.gl/vCXdrM ABOUT: Martina Navratilova spoke out on Monday to criticize Serena Williams' behavior during the US Open final against Naomi Osaka which she said was inappropriate regardless of gender.Writing in an op-ed for The New York Times,  61-year-old Navratilova, who won 18 Grand Slams between 1975 and 1994, said Williams should have controlled her temper when umpire Carlos Ramos accused her of coaching and ought to have restrained herself later when he issued her two more violations.Playing down Williams' on-court claims that a man would not have been penalized so heavily, Navratilova wrote: 'I don’t believe it’s a good idea to apply a standard of “If men can get away with it, women should be able to, too." 'Rather, I think the question we have to ask ourselves is this: What is the right way to behave to honor our sport and to respect our opponents?' She went on:  'This is the sort of behavior that no one should be engaging in on the court. There have been many times when I was playing that I wanted to break my racket into a thousand pieces.'Then I thought about the kids watching. And I grudgingly held on to that racket.' She also criticized Williams' for arguing with Ramos when he issued her a coaching warning because, though she was unaware of it at the time, her coach Patrick Mouratoglou was indeed coaching her from the stands.'The player is responsible for his or her coach’s conduct. And it is actually irrelevant whether the player saw or heard whatever instructions were given; either way, it is still an infraction,' Navratilova wrote. The athlete went on to say that while she understood Williams' frustration after having been subjected to 'awful' line-calling at past US Open finals, it was misguided of her to pin her argument with Ramos on whether or not a male player would have been let off leniently.'We cannot measure ourselves by what we think we should also be able to get away with.'It is also on individual players to conduct themselves with respect for the sport we love so dearly.'Because we all look so forward to the next time Ms.Williams and Ms.Osaka play each other; hopefully the drama will come from their magnificent shots and their fierce competitiveness — two athletes showing us how it is done, inspiring us all in the process,' she wrote. Her comments echo those of members of the tennis community who lined up to support Ramos' calls on Monday as debate over the controversial match intensified. The International Tennis Federation, which had vowed not to get involved, spoke out in support of the Portuguese umpire.'Carlos Ramos is one of the most experienced and respected umpires in tennis.Mr Ramos' decisions were in accordance with the relevant rules and were re-affirmed by the US Open's decision to fine 'Serena Williams for three offences. It is understandable that this high profile and regrettable incident should provoke debate.'At the same time, it is important to re

Another twitter user said,  'Justin Trudeau's eyebrows just stole my whiskey and drove off in my car.And they eyebrows even have their own twitter account. They made their online presence known with a tweet that says, 'Just so you know, yes it's true.Justin Trudeau wears fake eyebrows and takes really good care of us most of the time. But he's really intimidated by @realdonaldtrump, and the sweat loosened the glue that keeps us attached. No biggie.' Thank you for watching. Have a nice day! Don't Forget To Subcribe My Channel: https://goo.gl/vCXdrM ABOUT: Meghan Markle's best friend Jessica Mulroney and her family have arrived back home in Toronto after attending the royal wedding.Casually dressed and juggling a trolley laden with luggage, the fashion stylist was spotted at Toronto Pearson Airport on Tuesday with her husband Benedict Mulroney, her daughter and twin sons. The Canadian mother of three was seen glued to her phone while chatting with her children at the pick up area of the airport. Her sons - seven-year-old John and Brian - were page boys for Meghan and had the honor of carrying the train of her dress down the aisle. Her daughter was a bridesmaid at the wedding.Style guru, PR consultant and bridal expert, the 37-year-old Canadian mother-of-three is Meghan's best friend, closest confidante, and an Instagram addict. She is also credited by many as the brains behind Meghan's transformation from television actress to polished princess in waiting. It is largely thanks to their flourishing friendship that American-born Meghan, who relocated to Canada while filming the television series Suits, found herself moving through the kind of high-powered social circles that ultimately led her to Harry’s side.Meghan and Jessica are now so close that it is sometimes hard to tell them apart.Dark-haired elegant — and extremely well-married — Jessica could indeed pass as Meghan Mark II.Not for nothing is Mulroney known as the ‘Gwyneth Paltrow of Toronto’.Born into Canada’s wealthy Browns shoes dynasty, a family empire worth a reported £50 million, the privately educated heiress is married to Ben Mulroney, son of the former Canadian Prime Minister Brian Mulroney — and firm friends with the wife of the current one. They met in 2011, not long after Meghan arrived in Toronto where Suits was filmed. The Mail understands that Meghan initially employed Mulroney as a fashion stylist after she shot to fame as ambitious paralegal Rachel Zane. The pair bonded over their love of yoga, dogs, expensive red wine, healthy eating, work-outs and charity work. What began as a professional relationship swiftly turned to a deep and lasting friendship.Mulroney also raised eyebrows by having her stylist Rachel Renna share pictures of her outfit, a gold embellished cowl-back dress, for the exclusive after-party.It was her second outfit of the day after she wore an elegant royal blue dress at the ceremony itself, accessorizing the ensemble with classic nude pumps.

Burt Reynolds 'intentionally' leaves son Quinton out of his will

08:30
Thank you for watching. Have a nice day! My channel: https://goo.gl/vCXdrM ABOUT: Burt Reynolds left out his only child from his will before he died.It has been revealed the legendary actor intentionally did not include his 30-year-old son Quinton Anderson Reynolds, according to court documents obtained by TMZ.Reynolds, who passed away from a heart attack on September 6, named his niece Nancy Lee Brown Hess as the executor of his will, which he signed in October 2011.Hess is now the personal representative of Reynolds' estate and will control his possessions, which have been placed into a trust.Reynolds, who was 82, only made one mention of Quinton in his will, although it appears to clarify that he has not disinherited his son.'I intentionally omit him from this, my Last Will and Testament, as I have provided for him during my lifetime in my Declaration of Trust,' it reads. The court documents state that Reynolds created a trust for Quinton years ago.Quinton will reportedly continue to receive money from the trust, which may have been created to avoid estate taxes.Hess may have been made the executor of the estate so as to avoid any conflict of interest, as Quinton is a beneficiary of the trust.Reynolds adopted Quinton with his second wife, Loni Anderson, in 1988.Shortly before his death, Reynolds called Quinton his 'greatest achievement'.'He's a wonderful young man and is now working as a camera assistant in Hollywood,' Reynolds told Closer Weekly.'He never asked for any help with his career, he did it all himself, and I'm so proud of him.I love him very much.' Father and son were temporarily estranged during Reynolds' very public and bitter divorce from Anderson, but they became close again in recent years.Reynolds was married to Anderson, an actress, from 1988 to 1994.Considered a golden couple in Hollywood, their split shocked many and dominated magazine covers in the early 1990s.Things took an ugly turn as Reynolds revealed details of the former couple's sex life - or lack thereof - as their divorce became public.'I don't see how she can be in total shock,' he told Good Morning America at the time.'If your husband has not touched you in the biblical sense in almost three years, how can you be surprised?' Reynolds also claimed he caught Anderson cheating on him and said she was an underemployed actress and a bad mother. In his memoir he claimed Anderson bought 'everything in triplicate' and demanded that she dress 'like a star'.'I gave her a platinum American Express card with a $45,000 credit limit,' he wrote.'She maxed it out in half an hour.' In 1995 Anderson accused Reynolds of physically abusing her at least a dozen times while he was under the influence of drugs, according to People. She also claimed he was not timely with his $15,000 child support payments. In 2015, Reynolds told the magazine that he regretted marrying Anderson and called it a 'really dumb move'.'I should have known that you don't marry an actress,' he said.'It wasn't

One woman dead and three victims missing after Colorado River boat crash

Thank you for watching. Have a nice day! My channel: https://goo.gl/vCXdrM ABOUT: The body of a California woman who went missing after two boats crashed on the Colorado River this weekend has been recovered.Authorities found the body of Christine Lewis, 51, around 7.30am on Monday.Three people remain missing after two recreational boats crashed head-on near Moabi Regional Park around 8pm on Saturday. The missing have been identified as Kirra Drury, Raegan Heitzig, and Brian Grabowski.Thirteen people were injured in the crash and one female victim sustained life-threatening injuries. The Mohave County Sheriff's Office Division of Boating Safety will continue to search for Kirra, Raegan, and Grabowski.Labor Day Weekend fun turned into a nightmare when a Hallet boat occupied by 10 people and a Sleek Craft boat that carried six passengers collided at Pirate Cove Marina.More than a dozen victims were thrown off both boats in the impact and some were swept down the river. The force of the crash also caused both boats to sink, according to the San Bernardino County Fire District. It is believed that none of the boaters were wearing life vests at the time, according to ABC News.Nine victims, including two in critical condition, were transported to nearby hospitals by ambulance.Grabowski's wife is currently recovering from her injuries in a Las Vegas hospital.Rescue crews and helicopters scoured the area until 9pm, then the search mission was suspended as it became too dangerous for divers to be in the flowing water after dark.Cops say the river may be closed intermittently near the crash site as searches continue to take place.Numerous boats were in the water at the park on Saturday, a popular recreational area where the river's depth ranges from shallow to 30 feet.'We had victims of this collision that were located 3 to 5 miles downstream from the original point of impact,' San Bernardino County Fire District spokesman Eric Sherwin said.Sonar of the submerged boat did not show signs of the missing persons on board.Mohave County Sheriff Doug Schuster said authorities are treating the search as a recovery effort.'Technically, it's a dive mission looking for potential drowning victims,' he said.'But I don't want to give them the interpretation that there isn't a remote possibility that they made it to shore.' After the shocking collision other recreational boats nearby converged on the scene and downstream to help rescue victims.

Former Vatican representative says Pope Francis knew about sex abuse allegations against McCarrick

Thank you for watching. Have a nice day! My channel: https://goo.gl/vCXdrM ABOUT: Aformer Vatican representative to the United States is calling on Pope Francis to resign writing in an 11-page testament that he knew of the sex abuse allegations against Archbishop Theodore McCarrick but covered them up.Archbishop Carlo Maria Vigano, 77, who served as apostolic nuncio in Washington DC from 2011 to 2016 said that Pope Francis knew of the allegations as early as 2013, according to the National Catholic Register.Vigano said in his letter that he personally told Pope Francis that McCarrick was accused of inappropriate behavior and Pope Benedict XVI imposed sanctions on McCarrick ordering him to a life of penance.According to Vigano, during a June 2013 meeting the Pope asked him what kind of man McCarrick was like.Vigano said he replied: 'He corrupted generations of seminarians and priests and Pope Benedict ordered him to withdraw to a life of prayer and penance.' He alleged that the Pope was trying to find out if he was an ally of McCarrick or not.Vigano told the outlet that Pope Francis 'continued to cover' for McCarrick and 'not take into account the sanctions that Pope Benedict had imposed on him'.Vigano said in 2009 or 2010, Pope Benedict implemented sanctions that stated McCarrick 'was to leave the seminary where he was living. He was also forbidden to celebrate (Mass) in public, to participate in public meetings, to give lecturers, to travel, with the obligation of dedicating himself to a life of prayer and penance'.He said instead of taking action, Pope Francis revoked the sanctions and made McCarrick his 'trusted counselor'.Vigano said he sent several letters to Vatican representatives about McCarrick but they fell on deaf ears.He said in his letter that 'the corruption has reached the very top of the Church's hierarchy' and that's why he's speaking out publicly. The letter ended with Vigano asking Pope Francis, and others who allegedly tried to cover up the allegations, to resign.'He (Pope Francis) knew from at least June 23, 2013 that McCarrick was a serial predator,' Vigano stated, but although 'he knew that he was a corrupt man, he covered for him to the bitter end.' 'It was only when he was forced by the report of the abuse of a minor, again on the basis of media attention, that he took action (regarding McCarrick) to save his image in the media,' he wrote.Vigano wrote that Pope Francis 'is abdicating the mandate which Christ gave to Peter to confirm the brethren,' and urged him to 'acknowledge his mistakes' and, to 'set a good example to cardinals and bishops who covered up McCarrick's abuses and resign along with all of them.' The former DC nuncio also implicated Cardinals Angelo Sodano, Tarcisio Bertone and Pietro Parolin as well as Cardinal Donald Wuerl, McCarrick's successor as archbishop of DC.Earlier on Saturday, Pope Francis traveled to Ireland and addressed the sex abuse claims plaguing the Catholic Church.‘The failure of ecclesia

Experts in Israel uncover tunnels they say could be the spot where Jesus turned water into wine

07:33
Thank you for watching. Have a nice day! My channel: https://goo.gl/vCXdrM ABOUT: Mystery has surrounded the site of Jesus' 'first miracle' for centuries, but an answer may finally be at hand.According to the Gospel of John, Jesus changed water into wine during the Wedding at Cana. For hundreds of years, pilgrims have believed the site of the miracle to be Kafr Kanna, a town in northern Israel, where they visit the 20th-century 'Wedding Church'.But the true location has long been debated – and now archaeologists believe the Cana of biblical times may be a dusty hillside five miles further north. It's the former site of Khirbet Qana, a Jewish village between the years of 323 BC and AD 324, where archaeologists have discovered a number of compelling clues.Excavations there have revealed a network of tunnels used for Christian worship, marked with crosses and references to Kyrie Iesou, a Greek phrase meaning Lord Jesus. There was also an altar and a shelf with the remains of a stone vessel, plus room for five more.Six stone jars like this held the wine in the biblical account of the miracle.Dr Tom McCollough, who directs excavations at the site, said there were three other sites with a credible claim to being the Cana of scripture.'But none has the ensemble of evidence that makes such a persuasive case for Khirbet Qana,' he said.'We have uncovered a large Christian veneration cave complex that was used by Christian pilgrims who came to venerate the water-to-wine miracle.'This complex was used beginning in the late fifth or early sixth century and continued to be used by pilgrims into the 12th-century Crusader period.'The pilgrim texts we have from this period that describe what pilgrims did and saw when they came to Cana of Galilee match very closely what we have exposed as the veneration complex.' As part of his evidence, Dr McCollough points to the work of first-century Jewish historian Flavius Josephus.Water into wine: The first miracle of Jesus  The transformation of water into wine at the Wedding of Cana is the first miracle attributed to Jesus in the Gospel of John.According to the Gospel account, Jesus, his mother and his disciples are invited to a wedding, and the wine runs out.Jesus ordered servants to fill containers with water and soon there was plenty of wine again.John adds that: 'Jesus did this, the first of his signs, in Cana of Galilee, and it revealed his glory; and his disciples believed in him'.Christian tradition based on John 2:11 holds that this is the first public miracle of Jesus. The exact location of Cana has been subject to debate among scholars, with possible locations including the town of Kafr Kanna, in Galilee, about five miles northeast of Nazareth.Recent interest has focused on the ruined village of Khirbet Qana five miles further north while others have claimed it might be Ain Qana, in Southern Lebanon, which is closer to Nazareth. He said: 'His references to Cana align geographically with the location of Khirbet Qana

Serena Williams' chair umpire Carlos Ramos says hundreds of players have texted their support

Thank you for watching. Have a nice day! My channel: https://goo.gl/vCXdrM ABOUT: The Portuguese chair umpire who has been accused of sexism and racism in the wake of his controversial calls during the US Open Women’s final on Saturday is speaking out.In an interview with his good friend and Tribuna Expresso journalist Miguel Seabra, Carlos Ramos said he is doing 'fine' and denying that he employs any sort of racist or sexist double standard in his matches.Ramos told his friend that he stayed inside the day after the final, afraid that he might draw the ire of locals were he to start walking through the streets of New York City.He also said that hundreds of players, both past and present, had texted their support while speaking with Seabra. The interview is a bit of a shock given the very clear rules set forward by the International Tennis Federation which prohibit judges from commenting in any way on the matches they oversee as well as from socializing with players. And as the whole world now knows, Ramos is a real stickler for the rules.'I'm fine, given the circumstances,' said Ramos.'It's a boring situation, but "à la carte" judging does not exist.' Ramos then told his friend: 'Do not worry about me!' He is still set to officiate a Davis Cup match this Friday between the US and Croatia.Seabra also reveals in his story that Ramos texted him in the wake of the match, sharing the advice he gave to his friend.'My advice was to move away, to avoid any further controversy and to tell you that time heals - and that it will also heal this,' wrote Seabra. The ITF defended Ramos in the wake of the controversy, which was so heated that it resulted in the umpire skipping the trophy presentation. It is tradition that in addition to the finalists, the chair umpire who oversees the final is also acknowledged at the end of the match.'Carlos Ramos is one of the most experienced and respected umpires in tennis.Mr.Ramos’ decisions were in accordance with the relevant rules and were re-affirmed by the US Open’s decision to fine Serena Williams for the three offences,' read the statement released by ITF.'It is understandable that this high profile and regrettable incident should provoke debate. At the same time, it is important to remember that Mr.Ramos undertook his duties as an official according to the relevant rule book and acted at all times with professionalism and integrity.' DailyMail.com reached out to the ITF about Ramos' interview, asking if he would be punished or fined, and a rep for the agency said that they were not in a position to comment on the matter but someone would be in contact.Seabra was certainly a sympathetic choice for Ramos, as seen by his comments after the match.'What a pandemonium.I've known Carlos for 30 years; I know his thought-process, he's always been fair and consistent.Plus he always had the courage to enforce the rules, no matter the player, court or occasion,' wrote Seabra.'When he saw the coach making gestures, he issued a wa

She died on Thursday in the Brompton Hospital, London.Fraser defined herself as the bighearted comedy cockney blonde, attracting a string of admirers including Sean Connery ('we played lots of poker') and Stanley Baker. Her first notable film part was I'm All Right Jack (1959), where she played Cynthia, daughter of Fred Kite, the bolshie shop steward and the role which made Peter Sellers a star. The Boulting brothers were struggling to cast Cynthia, and Fraser was intially rejected by the directors. She later recalled: 'He couldn't be bothered because it was lunchtime,' she later recalled, 'but he said: 'Have make-up do something with her and I'll see her after lunch.'So they put me in a different bra and a very tight sweater with a tight belt and a long wig and eyelashes so I couldn't even recognise myself. Then I did the audition for John and I got the part.' The film, made in black and white, became the biggest box office hit of the year.

Jordan McLinn suffers from Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD), a fatal disease that typically confines the afflicted to a wheelchair by age 12 and takes their lives on average at age 25.His mother, Laura, has said in news accounts that three years ago, in 2015, when Jordan was five, they heard about the Right to Try law.At the time, Jordan didn't qualify for a clinical trial. She brought him to the statehouse in Indiana and lobbied state lawmakers to pass Right to Try.Vice President Mike Pence, then the governor of Indiana, signed the bill in 2015 with Jordan at his side. The family later found out that because the FDA is a federal agency, its takes a federal law to give patients the approval they needed to access experimental drugs. In the meantime, she says, Jordan made it into a clinical trial and started accessing a drug that they believe is slowing the progress of his disease, she said in a March video created for House Republicans.'I'm pretty excited that there's finally going to be a vote,' she said in a promotional video for Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy. The president today recalled that he endorsed Right to Try earlier this year in his first State of the Union.'Patients with terminal conditions should have access to experimental treatment immediately,' he said in the address before a joint session of Congress.

It is unclear whether the video is tongue-in-cheek, but her admission is applauded by the group of friends she was with at Sant Ambroeus restaurant in New York. While a male-voice is heard calling her an 'icon', it is not obvious whether the ex-boyfriend in question was with her at the restaurant because his name is not mentioned, nor is he tagged in the post.Irene is the daughter of glamorous high flying lawyer Darina Lozovsky, 41, is Head of Capital Markets Practice at law firm White & Case LLP.Darina's father is Russian oligarch Valery Kogan, who footed the enormous bill for Irene's wedding last year, and is worth around $2bn.He also owns part of Moscow’s Domodedovo Airport. The wedding took place at London's Landmark Hotel, where the Presidential Suite costs £1,450-a-night and featured a star-studded bill of performances. The pair had a traditional Jewish ceremony, as both Irene and Daniel are Jewish. The groom is thought to be from London, although how he met Irene is unclear.Mariah Carey is said to have been paid £2.5million to fly in from the US and sing the 2005 ballad We Belong Together to the couple. The Sun reported that the bride wept when Sir Elton John, who charges no less than £1million, dedicated the song Tiny Dancer to her during a 12-song set.Actor Antonio Banderas, who now lives in London, also made a speech during the star-studded wedding, which ended with a DJ set from producer Mark Ronson. The bride wore a dress by one of Britain's most exclusive fashion brands, Ralph & Russo, which made Cheryl Cole's famous black wedding gown. The fashion house also boasts clients including Beyonce and Angelina Jolie, who wore one of their dresses to meet the Queen. The dress made for Irene was so extravagant that four people had to help her down the aisle, Cosmopolitan reported.Nor was any expense spared on the food.A 3-metre, ten-tier wedding cake was created by London-based Elizabeth Solaru. It cost £100,000 and featured five flavours, more than 10,000 sugar flowers, and contained some 1,000 duck eggs. The nine-course menu from the day shows the luxurious food offered to guests, including tuna tartare, risotto, sea bass with caviar and fillet of beef.Kogan, 64, who appeared on the Forbes rich list with an estimated £2billion as Russia’s 41st richest man in 2014, has an enviable portfolio of properties around the world. In 2013, Kogan invested at least £80m to build the most luxu

Officials deem legal drive-in sex booths a 'great success' as they turn five

Thank you for watching. Have a nice day! My channel: https://goo.gl/vCXdrM ABOUT: Legal 'sex booths' where customers take their cars and 'drive-in' to meet prostitutes has been deemed a 'resounding success' by city officials in Zurich, Switzerland. The booths, which look like garages, celebrate their fifth anniversary on Sunday after 52 per cent of Zurich citizens voted in favour of the local government spending $2million (£1,557,020) on 'sex boxes' in 2012.Prostitution has been legal in Switzerland since the 1940s and the booths opened in 2013.Before this, most sex workers stayed on the city's riverfront, but many moved following complaints from locals over traffic and noise. The legal areas help in preventing human trafficking and violent attacks against sex workers, most of whom are eastern European. The government spends $800,000 (£623,000) each year maintaining the booths, which includes security and on-site social services. The sex workers pay taxes, have regular health checks and are healthier overall, officials say.In 2014, more improvements were made to the booths, including 'plank beds' for people who wanted to leave their cars.Like many drive-ins, motorbikes and bicylces are allowed, but those on foot aren't.Pedestrians are told to go to another part of the city.Once the customers arrive, one of the 24 women working agree a price and go to the booth, which is not monitored but has an emergency alarm for safety.Nadeen Schuster, a spokesperson for the Zurich government told USA TODAY the area was 'effective in preventing violence against sex workers and human trafficking.

Ex-girlfriend of alleged killer of Mollie Tibbetts tells why she turned up at his court appearance

Rivera worked on a dairy farm less than four miles from where Mollie's body was found Tuesday under a pile of cornstalks, some 34 days after she vanished while on her evening jog. After investigators identified him as the driver of a suspicious vehicle seen following her, Rivera confessed to trying to speak to Mollie, chasing her down on foot, then 'getting mad' when she tried to dial 911.He told investigators he 'blacked out' and can't remember what he did but said he came round shortly afterwards, found her body in the trunk of his Chevy Malibu and hid it in a field, according to charging documents.Autopsy results have since confirmed that the 20-year-old college student's death was a homicide caused by 'multiple sharp force injuries'.Rivera has not been charged with any type of sexual offence but the Iowa Department of Public Safety has warned that 'further examination may result in additional findings'.Those examinations could take a further

Marching for the suffragettes: Thousands of women in green, white and purple take to streets

Thank you for watching. Have a nice day! Don't Forget To Subcribe My Channel: https://goo.gl/vCXdrM ABOUT: Thousands of women marched across the UK on Sunday to mark 100 years since the first women won the right to vote.'Processions' saw women march through London, Edinburgh, Cardiff and Belfast wearing scarves in the colors of the suffragette movement that fought for the female franchise. The London march flowed through the heart of the city, along Piccadilly and around Trafalgar Square before heading to Parliament. In 1918, Parliament enacted the Representation of the People Act, which granted property-owning British women over 30 the right to vote.It would be another decade before women won the same voting rights as men.Sunday's celebration was organised by arts group Artichoke, which specialises in large-scale, participatory events. The group asked 100 artists to work with women's groups around the country on banners inspired by the bold designs of the suffragettes, who led a decades-long campaign of protest and civil disobedience to get votes for women. The London march featured banners from Brownie packs and arts groups, an organisation for female ex-prisoners and the Worshipful Company of Upholders, an upholsterers' guild. Some participants dressed as Edwardian suffragettes or wore sashes in green, white or violet. In Edinburgh women marched to follow in the footsteps of Scottish suffragettes, who marched along Princes Street in 1909 during a demonstration arranged by the Women's Social and Political Union. One woman had knitted a pendant with the suffragette slogan 'Deeds not words.'Another came with a banner evoking the modern-day women's movement: 'Nevertheless she persisted.' Women came from across England and even further afield to take part.Asma Shami from Lahore, Pakistan, said she rearranged her visit to Britain so she could attend the march and celebrate women's progress.'It's so energising,' she said.'We've come a long way, and we have a long way still to go.' Artichoke director Helen Marriage said she was struck by the amount of enthusiasm for the project.'A craft shop in London told us they'd run out of purple and green tassels, and they didn't know why,' she said.Mother and daughter Claire Gillett and Chloe Whittaker, from Great Saling in eastern England, wore green shawls and said they had recently discovered suffragettes among their ancestors.Gillett said she was 'super proud' of her forebears, especially since she'd always believed 'women in our family aren't very outspoken or bold.' 'It was quite empowering,' she said. The mood was celebratory, but Artichoke director Ms Marriage said the event aimed to draw attention to what remains to be done to achieve equality, from closing the gender pay gap to ending workplace sexual harassment. It also hoped to erase any notion of the suffragettes as prim campaigners from a more polite age. They defied the law, went on hunger strike, broke windows and even set off bombs in pursuit of thei

The self proclaimed ex-bikie who has been on the run from police since late February has finally been caught.David Brooks, a former member of the Finks bikie group, was arrested in South Australia on Wednesday, after being on the run for about seven weeks. The 48-year-old was wanted since February 21 after he failed to report to parole officers after spending time behind bars for drug charges. The Newcastle man, who posted fugitive videos online, was arrested north of Adelaide Wednesday afternoon and is expected to be extradited back to New South Wales, Daily Telegraph reported. The ex-Finks member, who was charged with the warrant from NSW, previously boasted about avoiding authorities in a number of videos he posted during his time on the run. ‘I don’t accept those laws, so I can’t be a criminal,' he said in one Facebook post.Mr Brooks took part in an interview with 9 News and said he was being harassed by police until he couldn't take it anymore. He had some more choice words for police in another of his Facebook live updates. ‘It’s the end of my patience I just took off to rebuild my life on my own terms,' he said.  He geo-tagged his Facebook updates with different locations everyday including Melbourne, Canada and the Philippines in a calculated ploy.'My actions are very deliberate and they shall continue to be until I am either caught or handed in,' he said. His latest post was geo-tagged as coming from Amsterdam which he joked about in the interview. 'My feet aren’t taking well to clogs and the windmills messed up my hairstyle so that’s why I’ve got the hat,' he said.In a separate upload, he gave officers a 'shout out' and said they were failing to do their jobs. In the video, in which he wears sunglasses and black sweater and smokes a cigarette, he says: 'A shout out to detectives at a police station f****** anywhere'.'Get yer f****** s*** together, you still haven't found me, you f***.'He continues: 'OK? I'm not that f****** hard to find'. 'OK, I'll give you a clue: I'm not in Fiji. Hopefully that will help you in your investigations into ''where is Brooksie''?'Two hours after posting the video on Facebook, Brooks updated his location to Montreal, Canada by using the site's 'check in' feature. He wrote: 'Anyone want some maple syrup?' Brooks, who depicted himself as an outlaw, previously told The Daily Telegraph: 'After four constant years of police harassment and being a target, I simply wanted to be left in peace and to be a normal everyday working person as I was before they injected themselves into my life.'I enrolled in university and am also working long hours. I have no affiliation with any motorcycle club and do not participate in any criminal activity.'Asked if he wanted to hand himself in, he said: 'I eventually do but I want to make some noise first.'Brooks is expected to face court in South Australia at Elizabeth Magistrates Court on Thursday.

Thank you for watching. Have a nice day! My channel: https://goo.gl/vCXdrM ABOUT: A12-year-old Michigan was seen grasping her older sister's hand in the final photo taken just before she died from injuries she suffered in an ATV crash.Riley Robinson was taken off life support after the vehicle she was riding in lost control on rough terrain and slammed into a tree on her grandmother's property. The horrifying crash left her 14-year-old sister, Peyton, in critical condition. The heartbreaking image shows the siblings lying in their hospital beds, with neck braces on and casts all over their bodies.Peyton's palm is seen resting on her sister's hand with her fingers intertwined.Riley can only loop her thumb around her sister's middle finger.Just a few hours later, Riley tragically passed away. Her family donated her organs and saved the lives of six other children.'I think the hardest thing we did was signing the paper for organ donation,' he told Fox 2 Detroit.'I don't get our daughter back but there are six families that get a little more time to spend with their loved ones.' Peyton's arms, elbow, shoulder were fractured in the accident. Her father was especially keen for her to be able to wear her favorite outfits without worry after reconstructive surgery.'The doctor said that he was going to look at trying to fix her collarbone, make sure it heals right, because little girls like to wear dresses,' Robinson said about the procedures taking place, that will also address her eyes, jaw and nose on Friday.Children under the age of 16 can ride the recreational vehicles so long as they have had safety training and are supervised by an adult.Regardless of age, anyone riding an ATV must wear a helmet.Riley and Peyton's 16-year-old brother, Tyler, discovered them near their grandmother's home in Missaukee County and called the emergency services after the accident. He pulled the recreational vehicle off his sister in what their father describes as an act of heroism.'He's my hero.He called 911, and got the 4 wheeler off his sister. He did everything he could,' the distraught parent told Fox 2.Riley was later airlifted to Grand Rapids hospital but succumbed to her injuries.'Life as you know it can be over in a blink of an eye,' Robinson continued.'She was the life of the party.Trusting, very caring.'.

Swedish royal is left red faced at newborn princess’s christening after wardrobe malfunction

Thank you for watching. Have a nice day! Don't Forget To Subcribe My Channel: https://goo.gl/vCXdrM ABOUT: The wife of the Swedish Queen's nephew was left red-faced today after her elegant green dress came apart, exposing her underwear.Maline Sommerlath, who is married to Patrick Sommerlath, experienced the wardrobe malfunction as Swedish nobility gathered in Drottningholm to welcome the newest member of the royal family.Princess Madeleine of Sweden and husband Christopher O'Neill christened their third child, a little girl named Adrienne who was born on 9th March and is tenth in line to the throne. But pictures emerged this evening of Maline clinging to her dress, with other guests forming a human shield around her in an attempt to protect her from embarrassment.Earlier today Madeleine, 35, was among the first arrivals while her older sister Crown Princess Victoria was spotted making her way to the opulent Drottningholm Palace Chapel, near Stockholm, in a private car.The proud mother put on a glamorous display, wearing a £1,735 Giambattista Valli floral dress with a traditional flower crown, as she joined Archbishop Antje Jackelen who conducted the service. The couple were joined by King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia, Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel, and Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia along with their respective children. Also present were godparents Anouska d'Abo, Coralie Charriol Paul, Nader Panahpour, Gustav Thott, Charlotte Kreuger Cederlund and Natalie Werner - along with officiants Chief Court Chaplain Bishop Johan Dalman and Pastor of the Royal Court Parish Michael Bjerkhagen.According to tradition, the young princess will likely be baptised with water from a spring on the Swedish island of Öland, a custom implemented by the present king and queen, the child's grandparents. She also wore robes steeped in royal tradition; the lining of the gown has the names and dates of all its previous wearers embroidered on it and has been worn by each royal infant since Prince Gustaf Adolf first wore it in 1906.Politicians including Speaker of the Swedish Parliament Urban Ahlin and Centre Party leader Annie Loof also gathered at the chapel on Friday morning. And as Sweden basked in 20 degree sunshine it all proved too much for some of the Royal Guards on duty, with one officer dramatically fainting in the heat.Adrienne's birth in March was greeted by a 21-gun salute from Skeppsholmen in Stockholm, and from saluting stations in Gothenburg, Härnösand, Karlskrona and Boden. The princess's full name was officially announced in March by her grandfather King Carl XVI Gustaf in a Council of State meeting, who revealed she will be known as Adrienne Josephine Alice, the Duchess of Blekinge.Madeleine and Christopher chose Adrienne as it's a name they love, the couple said.Josephine is a traditional moniker in Madeleine's family and is also her fourth name, while Alice is the name of Adrienne's great-grandmother, Alice Sommerlath, the mother of

Brock Ashby has released a statement politely asking for women and their mothers to stop 'inundating' him with dating requests. The 24-year-old debuted on The Voice , and insists that while he's flattered with the attention, he's 'super-focused' on music right now.He told The Daily Telegraph of his decision to effectively put a pause on his love life: 'I’m on The Voice, not Married at First Sight!'The final straw for Brock appears to be when he began receiving requests from mothers asking him to date their daughter. 'I’ve had to reply, "thanks for the offer but focus on my career," the reality star said.On the flip side, the young talent did admit the female attention had been 'good for business.'Brock works as a body transformation coach, which is effectively a marketing term used to describe a personal trainer. He described the odd feeling of receiving messages from women that both thank him for being brave enough to discuss the passing of his mother, before seguing into asking him to be their trainer, or occasionally to be their boyfriend.'Obviously it feels nice, naturally, as a male and a human it’s nice to feel appreciated in some way but open the other side I’m super-focused on my music,' he concluded.Following Tuesday night's episode, The Voice Judge Delta Goodrem, 33, copped criticism for what fans perceived as 'flirty' exchanges with Brock. After fellow judge Joe Jonas joked about the amount of 'good looking guys' on her team, she looked at Brock and said 'there's always room for one more!''Delta, girl, that was shameless!' One fan wrote.Another wrote: 'The way Delta treats male contestants she thinks are attractive is kind of creepy and it's getting really old.'

Pediatric nurse shocked after she discovered new colleague is child she cared for 28 years earlier

Thank you for watching. Have a nice day! My channel: https://goo.gl/vCXdrM ABOUT: ACalifornia nurse was stunned after she found herself working alongside a child she treated 28 years earlier.Vilma Wong, 52, first met Brandon Seminatore, 28, at the Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford when he was born just 29 weeks into his mother's pregnancy.Following his premature birth Wong tended to him for around a month before he was well enough to go home with his parents to San Jose though his thoughtful carer never forgot his name. When she met him as he did his morning rounds at the same hospital he was born at last month, it rang a bell with Wong, and it was revealed the second-year pediatric neurology resident was in fact the baby she bonded with almost three decades ago.'Brandon was on my team and taking care of one of my patients.I asked who he was and his last name sounded very familiar,' she said.'I kept asking questions, like where he was from and he told me he was from San Jose, and that as a matter of fact, he was a premature baby born at our hospital.'I then got very suspicious because I remember being the primary nurse to a baby with the same last name.' Wong even remembered details about his parents, prompting her to further investigate whether Seminatore was indeed who she thought.'To confirm my suspicion, I asked him if his dad was a police officer. And there was a big silence. Then he asked me if I was Vilma.I said yes!' she exclaimed. The pair may have found each other sooner.Seminatore's mother encouraged him to ask for Wong when he began the job in Palo Alto but he thought the idea of her still working on the ward was far-fetched.Wong has worked at the hospital for 32 years and said she cannot believe the story has come full circle with her former patient now helping those who are in the position he once was.'I was in shock initially, but overjoyed to know that I took care of him almost 30 years ago and now he's a pediatric resident to the same population he was part of when he was born,' Vilma said.'Although it is a very challenging profession, being a NICU nurse is also very rewarding.I consider myself very lucky to be in a profession that I love, and to make a difference in somebody's life.' Semiatore added that the primary care nurse has inspired his own career path. The heart-warming reunion made him reflect on just how lucky they both are to being healthy lives today as a result of the hospital's care.'Meeting Vilma showed me the dedication and love she has for her career,' he said.'She cares deeply for her patients, to the point that she was able to remember a patient's name almost three decades later. Not all of us will get the chance to see our patients grow up, and I was so happy to be able to share that moment with her.' It's some thing many people who know her, friends and patients agree with. The hospital's Facebook post about the coincidence went viral with lots of comments, shares and likes.'We all try to give our patie

Rees-Mogg’s nanny scolds Ian Bone for ‘unfairly’ targeting MP’s kids

06:45
Thank you for watching. Have a nice day! My channel: https://goo.gl/vCXdrM ABOUT: Jacob Rees-Mogg's nanny today shrugged an attack by jobless anarchist Ian Bone in typically British fashion - by inviting him in for a cup of tea.Veronica Crook, 75, told Mr Bone he should be doing something more useful than shouting at her and four of the MP's six young children.Speaking exclusively to MailOnline after the foul-mouthed tirade by the left-wing activist on the steps of Mr Rees-Mogg's London home, Ms Crook said: 'I don't really know what to say to him.Just get lost really.'He could be making himself useful instead. He could be doing something more with his life.' The nanny, who has worked for Mr Rees Mogg's family for 52 years and brought the Tory MP up as a little boy, spoke a day after protesters spat abuse at her.In his shocking attack shared online, unemployed grandfather-of-eight Mr Bone told Rees-Mogg's children that their father was 'hated' and a 'totally horrible person'.Wearing a flat cap and leaning on a stick, he was filmed shouting: 'Your daddy won't answer the question.Your daddy is a totally horrible person.'A lot of people don't like your daddy, you know that.No he's probably not told you about that.' The father-of-five added: 'A lot of people hate him.' Mrs Crook spoke as she left the house today with Rees-Mogg's wife Helena and two of the couple's children.Offering an olive branch to Mr Bone in what she called 'tea diplomacy', the nanny said next week she would invite them in for a brew. But she insisted that targeting the Tory's children was 'unfair', particularly when Mr Bone refused to reveal details of his own family when asked by MailOnline. She said her salary was 'personal' - adding that he had gone 'too far' in ranting at the children: 'When there are children involved it's not on, is it? There's public life and there's public life, isn't there? 'They (the children) got quite excited about it actually. They were looking because they didn't really understand it.'People were asking how much I get (paid) but I don't know.I can't compare it to other people.' Ms Crook continued: 'It passed over quietly, unfortunately I didn't really hear it.'One lady apparently said, 'don't swear, there are children', which I thought was thoughtful of her.'Somebody found a 20p piece and said, 'give this to your nanny, she's poorly paid'.I didn't even see it (that 20p piece).' Mother-of-six Mrs Rees-Mogg said police had warned the family that protesters would be coming to their home after after they bragged about  their plans on Twitter.'We chose to take the children outside,' she told MailOnline.'Jacob and I came out to see them and three of the boys chose to come out.Our daughter wanted to stay indoors. The baby was upstairs.'He (Ian Bone) said he was coming back next week.We might all have to stay inside for that one.' She went on: 'Typical anarchists, they were 15 minutes late for their own protest. And, in fact, it was just a 71-year-old with a st

Their divorce was finalized in July 2014, which ended their two-decade-long marriage.Moore spokesman Christian Muirhead said at the time his client and Glynn 'mutually and amicably reached a divorce settlement.' Moore's filing from the year prior said his relationship with Glynn had broken down and there remained 'no reasonable likelihood that the marriage' could be preserved. Before finalizing the divorce, the pair squabbled over marital assets, The Smoking Gun reported at the time. The large amount of money Glynn, who produced several of her husband's movies, spent on their lakefront mansion in Michigan, was said to be an issue of contention.According to Celebrity Worth, Moore had $50million in assets.Court records did not indicate exactly how much the producer is worth. The documentary maker claimed his other half 'unilaterally wasted a large percentage of the marital funds' with the Torch Lake mansion, which put a spotlight on his wealth and opened him up for ridicule because he has so often criticized the rich in his films. The home, which was completed years ago, is believed to cost in the neighborhood of $2million.Moore maintained that his spouse spent five times more on the property than she should have in what amounted to 'massive cost overruns' that set them back financially. In a sworn affidavit, Moore reported that, in 2011, Glynn 'discussed with me problems she was having with the money she was spending (which caused us some serious financial losses).' The lake house wasn't their only home.nine properties in Michigan and New York.Their Manhattan condo was created through 'the combination of three separate units,' according to The Smoking Gun.According to court filings, the couple - that does n

Family of child who died in ritualistic 'exorcism' expected him to be resurrected

12:07
Thank you for watching. Have a nice day! My channel: https://goo.gl/vCXdrM ABOUT: Athree-year-old boy found buried at a New Mexico desert compound died in a ritual to 'cast out demonic spirits,' but his extended family believed he would 'return as Jesus' to identify 'corrupt' targets for them to attack, prosecutors said on Monday. The little boy's father Siraj Ibn Wahhaj, along with one of his wives Jany Leveille, his sister Subhannah Wahhaj and her husband Lucas Morton, and his other sister, Hujrah Wahhaj, are accused of training children at the camp to use firearms 'to commit school shootings.' They are each charged with 11 counts of felony child abuse.Despite the serious charges, on Monday, the five suspects were granted $20,000 bond each.New Mexico Gov.Susana Martinez has already spoken out, saying she 'strongly disagreed' with the hearing's outcome and Backus's decision, Kob reports.'Unfortunately, it highlights how extreme the New Mexico Supreme Court has been in dictating pretrial release for all kinds of dangerous criminals,' she said. While the judge granted all the suspects bond, Siraj Ibn Wahhaj is likely to remain in jail pending a warrant for his arrest in Georgia on accusations that he abducted his disabled three-year-old son, Abdul-ghani, from the boy's mother in Atlanta, in December and fled to New Mexico.A body, believed to be Abdul-ghani's, was found buried in the desert near the compound shortly after the August 3 raid. The four other defendants may be released on house arrest as soon as Tuesday.Judge Sarah Backus said she wasn't convinced the suspects were a danger to the community and granted them bail to be released from jail, on condition they wear an ankle monitor and that they have only supervised visits with their children.Meanwhile, horrifying new details emerged about the death of Abdul-Ghani Wahhaj. The court heard that the toddler was taken by his father, who originally claimed he was taking his son to the park.In fact, he was taking him for an exorcism.Prosecutors say Abdul-ghani died amid a ritualistic religious ceremony intended to 'cast out demonic spirits.' FBI agent Travis Taylor testified saying that Abdul-ghani, who suffered from seizures, would sometimes foam at the mouth.'During these rituals, per witness statements, the victim, Abdul (Ghani Wahhaj) would begin to choke and have white foam or slime come from his mouth and then pass out,' Taylor said.Public defenders claim the boy's father was trying to heal the child with the ceremony, which they claim included reading passages from the Quran and placing his hand on the boy's head. But prosecutors claimed he was denying the boy medication. The children were told that Abdul-Ghani 'would become Jesus' when his demons were exorcised.Once he was resurrected, he would guide them and help them choose which targets to attack, a boy at the compound told investigators.'They were awaiting for Abdul-Ghani to be resurrected to let them know which government institutions to

Pete Doherty eats enormous breakfast in Margate in under 20 minutes

04:30
Thank you for watching. Have a nice day! My channel: https://goo.gl/vCXdrM ABOUT: Libertines star Pete Doherty has been pictured posing happily outside a greasy spoon cafe after demolishing a monster breakfast challenge in less than 20 minutes. The rock star, 39, can be seen grinning after getting the 'mega breakfast' at the Dalby Cafe in Margate, Kent, for free because he ate it so quickly.Pete took only 19-and-a-half minutes to devour four eggs, four slices of bacon, four sausages, as well as a burger. He also had hash browns, onion rings, bubble and squeak, chips and two slices of bread as well as a huge portion of baked beans. As well as a cuppa, Pete washed it all down with a strawberry flavoured Yazoo milkshake. The mega breakfast costs £17.50, which is paid up front, but if the challenge is completed the money is returned. The last person who managed to finish the meal was in 2013.Pete was warned before he started that he could not feed his husky dog any of the food.He apparently said: 'Don't worry, I paid £4,500 for this dog and I'm not feeding it any fried food.' The task was so enormous that Pete had to take off his stylish checked overcoat, and smiled for the camera looking cross-eyed for the 'after' pic - wearing shirtsleeves and a signet ring on his little finger. The Libertines have become the sponsors of Margate FC, and are opening a BnB in the seaside town, The Albion Rooms, named after the flat where they used to practice.Cafe owner Mark Ezekiel, 38, said: 'It's the first time he's come into the cafe.Alan, the manager, served him.'Pete's been known in Margate as the band have moved down here and they're doing a lot for the area.'He's been known to stop and chat with people but he hadn't been into the cafe before.' The cafe opened in 1946, and the breakfast was challenged launched in 2003 - around the time that the Libertines became a household name.'He didn't have quite enough money for a milkshake so we said "if you've got it down in 20 minutes you will get it for free".' Noting that Pete removed his coat part way through the meal, Mark added: 'He probably started sweating out.'A lot of people come in and start eating it but there is so much there they can't finish it.' There was previously a chart of people who had conquered the mega breakfast on display in the cafe, but it was recently wiped clean by a member of staff.

Kent baby torturer Tony Smith beaten up in Swaleside Prison with sock filled tuna cans metal bar

Thank you for watching. Have a nice day! My channel: https://goo.gl/vCXdrM ABOUT: Aprisoner who nearly beat his son to death has been attacked by his fellow inmates with 'a sock filled with tuna cans' and metal bars.Tony Smith, 47, tortured his baby, also called Tony Smith, so badly his legs had to be amputated and was jailed alongside the youngster's mother Jody Simpson, 24.Two inmates at Swaleside Prison on the Isle of Sheppey in Kent are believed to have attacked Smith after being wrongly housed in the wing for vulnerable prisoners, The Star reports.Smith survived the beating, but has been left with a fractured eye socket, broken ribs and a broken jaw.A prison source told the newspaper: 'They came into contact with Smith and held him hostage in his own cell for four hours.'During that time they tied him to a chair and attacked him with a sock filled with tuna cans and metal bars. They also stamped all over him.'Prison guards managed to get them off in the nick of time – he's lucky he didn't die.' An investigation is being launched into how the attack was allowed to take place.A prison service spokesman told The Sun: 'Staff resolved an incident involving three prisoners at HMP Swaleside on 7 August.'The incident has been referred to the police so it would be inappropriate to comment further.' Smith and Simpson were each sentenced to 10 years' imprisonment for what were described as 'a series of spiteful assaults' on their very young son.Shocking pictures revealed the squalor inside the flat in Maidstone, Kent, where Smith and Simpson abused their baby. They had denied causing or allowing serious physical harm to a child but were both unanimously found guilty less than an hour after a jury retired to consider verdicts.Maidstone Crown Court in Kent heard that by the time baby Tony was seen by doctors at 41 days old, he was seconds from death with septicaemia. He was grey, frothing at the mouth and grunting, with a 'shockingly swollen' body and in multiple organ failure. It was only 'aggressive' medical treatment from the GP, paramedics and staff at Pembury Hospital in Kent and then London's Evelina Children's Hospital which saved his life. The court heard the horrific fractures to both the youngster's thighbones and lower legs, right ankle, left thumb and two bones in a big toe were revealed by subsequent x-rays.Experts later concluded they would have been caused by yanking, pulling and twisting, with considerable force and up to 10 days before he was finally taken to his doctor. The dislocated fracture to the youngster's right lower leg and ankle may have even been inflicted by a swinging action. He was in so much pain from this one injury alone that he showed signs of distress even when sedated in hospital.Sadly, the septicaemia was so severe that Tony, who has since been adopted and given a new identity, has been left with life-changing injuries. As well as having had both legs amputated, his hip joints are so damaged by infection that they may not

Fox News TV - Former Nashville cop 'unmasked as secret member of Kurdish Pride Gang'

04:48
Trailblazer jailed: Jiyayi Suleyman, 29, once touted as Nashville's first-ever Kurdish person to join the city's police force, is suspected of being a member of a Kurdish street gang A former Nashville detective who was once celebrated for being the first Kurdish person to join the city's police force has been charged with 57 counts of official misconduct and accused of being a gang member. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said the charges relate to allegations against 29-year-old Jiyayi Suleyman that have to do with misuse of government records.Suleyman is suspected of looking up information in the confidential police criminal justice data system on his days off.The statement from the TBI does not give a motive for accessing the records. It said Suleyman resigned from his job on March 30 while he was being investigated by the department.According to an internal investigation file obtained by Tennessean.com, Suleyman is accused of using the state's criminal justice database to look up fellow members of Kurdish Pride Gang - A Nashville street gang made up of the children of Kurdish war refugees that has been linked to illegal sales of drugs and firearms.Nashville is home to the largest Kurdish community in the US numbering about 12,000.  According to the documents, police learned of Suleyman’s suspected double life when they executed a search warrant at the home of a known Kurdish Pride Gang member and seized photos of the young detective ‘participating in gang activities,’ including flashing gang hand signs and ‘wearing apparel that would associate him as a known gang member.’The photos were taken before Sulyeman joined the police force in 2012, but he failed to disclose his alleged affiliation with the gang on his application. Investigators later found records proving that Suleyman was in frequent contact with known KPG members, and that he was aware of the day-to-day operations of other members tasked with selling drugs and guns. According to a flattering profile published by Public Radio International’s The World in August 2014, Suleyman was born in the mountain region of Kurdistan in Iraq, and his first name, ‘Jiyayi’, means 'mountaineer.' His father was a fighter in the Kurdish peshmerga militia in the 1980s and ended up fleeing the Saddam Hussein regime and immigrating to Nashville in 1991.Suleyman joined the Metro Police Department as a patrolman in 2012 – the same year the MNPD sued the Kurdish Pride Gang and declared its members a public nuisance.‘I took this job to bridge the gap between not only the Kurdish community but the Muslim community with the police department,’ Suleyman told PRI in 2014. ‘I wanted to be that one guy that makes a difference.’During his time on the force, Sulyeman worked narcotics cases and received multiple letters of commendations from Chief Steve Anderson, including for breaking up a Mexican heroin distribution ring.Nashville jail records say Suleyman is currently being held on $75,000 bond.

Captain Cook's HMS Endeavour is finally found

Thank you for watching. Have a nice day! My channel: https://goo.gl/vCXdrM ABOUT: Captain James Cook's famous HMS Endeavour ship is believed to have been finally found, 250 years after his historic Australian voyage of discovery.Marine archaeologists who have spent more than two decades painstakingly searching for the vessel say they have now identified what could be the wreck's exact final resting spot.Details of what will solve one of the greatest maritime mysteries of all time will be officially announced on Friday in the United States. The event will take place on Goat Island, a small island in Narragansett Bay, off Newport, Rhode Island, near to where the scuttled remains are believed to be.Archaeologists learned 20 years ago that the ship was scuttled in Newport Harbour. But the Rhode Island Marine Archaeology Project (RIMAP), said experts have 'narrowed the search for the Endeavour from a fleet of thirteen vessels to five, and now possibly to one or two archaeological sites'.The Friday announcement will involve archaeologists from RIMAP and the Australian National Maritime Museum (ANNM).'The event will review how the 25-year-long archaeological study of the Newport transports has narrowed the search for the Endeavour from a fleet of thirteen vessels to five and now possibly to one or two archaeological sites,' a statement posted on the RIMAP website said.'RIMAP and the ANMM researchers will discuss the 2018 fieldwork results, and release to the public a 3-D photogrammetric image of a promising site located in the Limited Study Area, just off the Goat Island shore near Gurneys Resort.' The identification of the vessel's final resting place has raised hopes the HMS Endeavour will be able to be excavated next year.Director of RIMAP, Kathy Abbass, said the discovery would be significant for a number of countries, including Australia, the US, Britain and New Zealand.'It is exciting, we are closing in,' she told Fairfax Media. The latest development comes after the Rhode Island Marine Archaeology Project made an important discovery, saying the ship was scuttled in Newport Harbor in 1778 by British forces in the lead up to the Battle of Rhode Island. The HMS Endeavour was then discovered to be among 13 other ships in a massive archaeological investigation that combined high-tech mapping of the seabed with analysis of historical shipping documents found in London. But the website statement added more detailed work would have to be undertaken.'Now that RIMAP and the ANMM have identified a possible site in Newport Harbor that might be the Lord Sandwich ex Endeavour, the detailed work must begin to prove it,' it said. The HMS Endeavour is one of the most famous ships in naval history and was used for Captain Cook's discovery of the East Coast of Australia in 1770.The last sighting of the HMS Endeavour was around 1778 when it is believed the ship was sold, renamed the Lord Sandwich, and then used to transport British troops during the American Revolution.
