Lesson 1 - What is Forex and how does It work?
Know your forex terms Before we delve any deeper into the possibilities that exist in the Forex market, we need to go over some basic Forex market terms. Pip: A pip (percentage in point) or point, is usually the smallest unit of measurement in the Forex market. Most currency pair quotes are carried out four decimal places—i.e. 1.4500. When you work with Alpari quotes are carried out to the 5th decimal place to provide better pricing. The 5th decimal place represents fractional pips. If the exchange rate of a currency pair moved from 1.45000 to 1.45100, we would say that the price moved up 10 pips. You make money when the pips move your way in a trade. Note: Any exchange rate that contains the Japanese yen as one of the currencies will only be carried out three decimal places. Currency Pair: We wouldn't have a Forex market if we weren't able to compare the value of one currency against the value of another currency. It is this comparison that drives prices. Forex contracts are always quoted in pairs. The Euro vs. the U.S. dollar (EUR/USD) is the most heavily traded currency pair. The U.S. dollar vs. the Japanese yen (USD/JPY) is another popular pair. The following is a list of the most common currency pairs, their trading symbols and their nicknames: Euro vs. U.S. dollar (EUR/USD): "The Euro" Great Britain Pound vs. U.S. dollar (GBP/USD): "Pound," "Sterling," or "The Cable." U.S. dollar vs. Swiss franc (USD/CHF): "The Swissie U.S. dollar vs. Japanese yen (USD/JPY): "The Yen" U.S. dollar vs. Canadian dollar (USD/CAD): "The CAD," or "Loonie" Australian dollar vs. U.S. dollar (AUD/USD): "The Aussie" New Zealand dollar vs. U.S. dollar (NZD/USD): "The Kiwi"

Indicator one RSI. The relative strength index compares the magnitude of recent gains to recent losses in the attempt to determine overbought and oversold conditions of instrument as you can see from the chart the RSI ranges from 0 to 100. Insurance is deemed to be overbought once the RSI approaches the 70 level mean that it maybe getting overvalued and is a good candidate for pullback likewise if the RSI approaches 30, then the instrument is oversold and therefore like to reverse. Traders will often use the RSI coming back out of overbought or oversold conditions as a signal to enter the market. A trade using RSI should be whether large rallies and drops in price will affect the RSI by potentially creating false buy or sell signals traders often come by the RSI such as the MACD. Indicator three Bollinger bands. A Bollinger band starts off as a simple moving average and has two standard deviations plotted away from it that sounds a mouthful but the important part is because standard deviation is a measure of volatility Bollinger bands adjust themselves to current market conditions. Equipment and Tools You Need to Start Trading Stocks
Equipment and Tools You Need to Start Trading Stocks ★ SUMMARY ★ Getting started in training online is not very difficult in the sense of the equipment and tools that you need. There are a lot more other hurdles that are actually more complicated than just figuring out the tools and equipment. In this video what I'd like to do is cover those tools and equipment that you need in order to get started in trading. I’m Sasha Evdakov and thanks for joining me here at Tradersfly.com, to get into the three things that you need in order to trade at least as far as the equipment and tools are concerned is really cut quite simple, it's not that difficult. Things you need to start trading To get into this the first thing that you need is you need a computer with internet access, so you need a computer with internet access and this is so you can execute your trades so that way you can see what's going on with the prices, what's going on with the stock or how’s the chart moving. 1. Computer and Internet A computer with internet access is one of those things that will accomplish that. Now I have a full in depth very detailed course about what kind of computer you should get, as far as a desktop versus a laptop versus windows versus Apple versus Mac, all kinds of different things that go in detail about the type of computer that you should get for trading and you can get that course at http://www.tradingcomputercourse.com. Just give you a quick rundown, you don't really need an advanced computer and a really high speed Internet access you know something like DSL broadband files will be just fine to get you started and a basic computer like a laptop. Even a smartphone will be just fine as long as you have a connection to the Internet to buy and sell stocks or execute your orders. Any device, any smartphone will also be just fine to get you started. However, as you continue to get better as you continue to improve which you’ll probably want is multiple monitors support and the reason for that is because once you have multiple monitors you're able to see and look at your stocks a lot easier. You'll be able to see charts on one screen, then the other screen you'll be able to execute the order, on the other screen you'll be able to potentially research. Multiple monitor support will be a lot better as you start progressing and as you start involving as a trader.
