Day 10: Blastocystis hominis treatment with triple therapy antibiotic
Yay! I made it to the end still standing. Please see below for some of the recipes I used during my treatment. Granola: I used this recipe with the following modifications. I used coconut oil which I mixed first into dry ingredients. Then I added 2-3 grated grannysmith apples. I used no other sweetners or fruit except the apples. I also swapped one cup of cashews for one cup of almonds just because I like them. http://www.theroastedroot.net/paleo-granola/ Noodle Free Lasangua 2 x large Zucchini Sliced (all vegies sliced with Mandoline (very thin)) 2-3 x red capsium slice thin 1 x large eggplant sliced and salted and rinsed 1/4 pumpkin sliced 2 x cups packed Baby spinach or sweet potato leaves Pasta sauce (homemade tomato juice cooked down with pizza herbs and all purpose seasoning) Cashew cheese (see below) x 2 Slice and salt egg plant first while you prepare other vegies. Put sauce on to boil down (if using tomato juice or fresh tomatoes). Turn oven on to 200°C Slice Vegies set aside Make cashew cheese double recipe. Assembly Lay 1/2 zucchini in deep oven tray Cover with very thin layer tomato sauce Next layer capsicum followed by egg plant Next spinach then pumpkin and 1/2 cashew cheese. Repeat with a bit extra sauce on top of spinach. Then add pumpkin and scatter cashew cheese on top. Sprinkle a little paprika on top. Cook for 40-60mins till vegies are cooked through and cashew cheese lightly coloured. Cashew Cheese 3/4 Cup raw cashews 2 tb lemon juice (I like a bit more) 1 tsp herb salt or add a bit extra onion powder 1 raw garlic clove or garlic powder 1tb Besan flour (not technically allowed in any of the gut healing diets but I have never felt bad from it. You could probably leave it out as the cashews thicken as they cook.) Blend till nice and smooth. Scd Bread http://againstallgrain.com/2012/05/21/grain-free-white-bread-paleo-and-scd/ Apple Blueberry Muffins 2-3 grannysmith apples grated with excess juice squeezed out 3 x egg yolks separated 3 tb melted coconut oil Vanilla extract 2 1/2 cups almond flour 2tb coconut flour 1 cup blueberries Egg whites mixed to a stiff peak in separate bowl Preheat oven to 200°C. Mix all ingredients minus the egg whites together. Fold in egg whites and blue berries. Spoon into muffin trays and bake at 200°C for 20-25mins.
