Alexia Knightwalker (5 months ago)
this is a wonderful and helpful video to learn from . although , when it comes to the formal style , i'm better at writing it rather than speaking it . do you have any tips you can give to make me balance the two ?
Anglo-Link (5 months ago)
Thank you, Alexia. It's the context that dictates the level of formality. If you're speaking to someone for the first time, particularly if that someone is a client or a figure of authority, it is best to start with a formal tone, and then adjust it if they use an informal tone.

"No.the direction you sent me were very clear.but there was hardly traffic on the road"and "No.the direction you sent to me were very clear.but the was a lot of traffic jams on the road"can be also another way to reply to the question:"did you have any trouble finding the way?"
